THINGS TO NOTE

African bone beads are carved out of the bone of an animal, typically cow. Distinctive markings (batik) on the beads are unique to each bead. Beads in stock present black markings  on an ivory colored bead. Textural grains, or demarcation, are common on these types of beads.
